The Bigger Picture: Family Work Forum Following
the popularity of the one-day meeting and series of seminars on the theme of
music therapy with families, run by the BSMT, we are establishing a forum to
bring together those wishing to continue sharing their experience and seeking
to develop their networks and thinking in this field. The
forum will provide an opportunity for sharing experiences of family work and
discussion of issues arising for music therapists developing models of this
work.
The first series of 3 meetings will be held on 7
May; 4 June; 2 July Where?

sharing of developing clinical models of practice for working with families ·
Peer
learning through sharing experience ·
Peer
supervision and discussion of clinical work ·
Discussion
of particular issues/challenges arising in this field of work ·
Discussion
of relevant publications and papers as appropriate ·
Focussing
on particular areas of practice (e.g. early years, adolescents, autism etc) ·
Visiting
guest speakers on particular themes ·
The
purchase of books and study papers from the BSMT resource We
